Alvaro Margolis is an internist from Uruguay with a Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah, US. Alvaro has held academic positions at the Schools of Medicine and Engineering, University of the Republic, Uruguay. He was Vice President of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and President of the Global Alliance for Medical Education (GAME). He is Associate Editor of Applied Clinical Informatics, Founding member of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics and President & CEO of EviMed.
